What we've learnt working in Rainworth
Rainworth sits on free-draining sandy ground, which suits permeable surfacing. Resin bound drains straight through into a base that can actually take the water away, so you get no puddles and no need for a drainage application — and it's the one place where we recommend resin as often as block paving.
The flip side of sandy ground is that it moves if it isn't compacted properly, so the sub-base work matters just as much. Type 1 in layers with a whacker between each one, every time.
